I can patch just as many VMs and same deal. I can boot all 45 VMs up from cold without any noticeable performance issue. which is the beauty, however, it's over 750GB of cache and I can't put enough data there fast enough make it not perform well. Yes, with the way ZFS works, much of it is cache. Sure - so that's all great, except this is in my homelab serving up 45 VMs. Just make sure to tag the post with the flair and give a little background info/context.
